I'm going to beg here....

Scot, Steph, Drew and Levi will be leaving tomorrow for Houston. If you have ever had to make a trip like this or waited at home while your loved one went, then you will understand the emotions that come with it. If you don't understand...I pray to God that you never will.

First, words cannot express the love and appreciation we feel for the people who are making this so easy for the Phillips family. Dan and Shelly...there aren't words. These two angels have made arrangements to fly Scot, Steph and the boys to and from Houston in their plane. This means no lines, no plane full of germs and no worries about getting to and fro. Kathy and Tim...again, no words. These two angels provide a beautiful and comfortable HOME for the Phillips family to stay. Not only that, but they also watch the boys during the appointments. This allows Steph to bring her boys (which is so important to her) and Scot can still go to her appointments with her. I am overwhelmed by your generosity and love. Thank you from ALL of us. Please join me while you pray and PRAISE God for these wonderful people He has put in our lives.

Above all, we are still praying that GOD WILL HEAL STEPHANIE'S BODY!!!

Please also pray for all of us as we wait. This is hard.

I also want to ask a favor. For some of you "blog challenged" folks out there...you may have to step out of your comfort zone. I am begging EVERY SINGLE PERSON who is reading this...leave a comment. Tell Steph how she inspires you, tell her you are praying or simply just say hello. I know so many people read this and I know she would REALLY love to hear from you. She hasn't come right out and said it, but I think she could use some encouragement. So I will give you the steps PLEASE just leave a comment.

Step 1: Click on the title of this entry (I'm going to beg here...)

Step 2: Type your message.

Step 3: If you don't have a google account, I have allowed anonymous comments so just select the "Anonymous" button.

Step 5: Pat yourself on the back because you just brightened Steph's day!

Thank you in advance! I will not know anything until Thursday but will post as soon as I know something. Thank you all for your prayers...we feel them...everyday. We cherish them...always.

Steph,
Sending warm thoughts and lots of prayers you way, from NE Ohio, as you and your family head to Houston. In the midst of the Drs visits, lab tests, etc., may you find some moments of tranquility and peace.

Best, Debbie (Likins-Fowler, Ashley Atkinson's Mom)

P.S. I know something about what you and your family are going through - my hubby is in the hospital for a stem cell transplant for multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer).

Hey Steph & Scot. . .
What can I say that others haven't already said! . . .God's word says: By HIS stipes we are healed. . . I will restore health to you (Steph) and heal you of your
wounds! . . . He heard my cry for mercy and HE healed me!
Repeat God's word over and over and the enemy will flee! When the enemy begins to give you negative thoughts, ask God to go get the door for you and tell the enemy that you are not interest!
Praying for you Steph. . . Praying for your Scot. . . .Praying for you Drew. . . Praying for you Levi!!!

Love you guys!

hey steph, its been a while since i have been able to read up on all the messages, but i wanted to simply tell you how much i admire you. for an infinite number of reasons. remembering all your strengths and an abundance of positivity was always something i wanted for myself. then we all moved apart, but were always in my heart. i learned later, with my third attempt at college, that all those we have crossed paths with in our lives are mirrors to ourself. so, i thank you for being just as you are, so i could become who i am. even now i look at you and am amazed at those strengths you posess.
our faith in God and the friends we keep are no doubt keys to our continued strength.
as you travel to houston, i know your eyes will be filled with spectacular sights, and you get to share it with your men. truly blessed. when you land, please feel the love flowing from my heart... all the way from nevada.
be well my friend. your light is shining brightly for all to see.
love always to you and yours.

Several years ago, I coached my daughters softball team. We were on the field on our first day of practice. I was one player short, when a car drove up and out jumped a tall slender girl with her bat, ball shoes and batting gloves on both hands. I soon learned that this young girl was not only a fantastic ball player, but Stepanie was an even more fantastic person. Stephanie played on my ball team for several years, alway doing her best and giving 125% anytime she was on the field. After Stepanie moved away from Strafford, I was lucky enough to follow her basketball career and see her play at SMSU and SBU. Occassionally we would get to talk when we saw each other at a game, church or at Walmart. One day I found out Stepanie lived close to me when I was in my yard and she was taking Drew for a drive. I didn't realize how close she lived to me until she drove by, saw me and stopped for a visit. Stepanie, just want you to know how much I think of you and your family. You are in my daily prayers.

Thank you all for the comments. I can't tell you how much I appreciate you. For some reason I've been a little (ok a lot) nervous today. I know that there is no reason to be nervous about the tests today, but I still can't shake it. Thank you for the prayers. It's so uplifting to feel so much support. It truly gives me courage and strength. I'll keep fighting. You keep praying. Together we will get good news. Thanks everyone! Chrissy will keep you posted. (Is she awesome, or what?)

Love you all...Steph
